Many of my adult friendships are spread across the continent. Making new, local, adult friendships is hard work. I'm grateful for this brief and potent reminder that the work is hard and STILL worth doing:

Hear hear! I keep reminding myself of that now that I'm in a new neighborhood. I want to reach out to people I want to get to know better, but I don't want to risk looking needy. I just have to get over that. Thanks for the reminder.
