Matthew says the darndest things...all the time. His squeaky little voice and speech quirks make every exclamation delicious. I can never write them down fast enough, but I'll make a special effort this week to record these gems.
He had another asthma attack last week in response to a respiratory virus. Old hat by now, but that's the third round of steroids in a year, so he's now on a daily maintenance medication to try and keep these flare ups from happening. He likes it so far. It tastes good.
Today, he is begging to go golfing again. We played mini-golf last night for Monday Night Fun and he LOVED it. He cheered on everyone else with, "You've got this, Robert!" or "Woo hooooo!" and his signature shoulder-hip-fist bump dance. He was thrilled just to get the ball into the hole...eventually. He didn't have any clue that the number of hits meant anything.
And here are a few of his favorite things...
| Preschool. Even if it tires him out. |
| Dicing tomatoes with me. Over 100# this year! |
| Returning books at the Champaign Public Library |
| Watching the fish at the grocery store. |
| The beach! Bobby buried him up past his knees in the sand. He's delighted. |
Can't wait to get to experience him in person!
