Let me explain that last one. Our ward/church is largely composed of young families that move into the area for grad school. Now that the Palmers have moved to Ohio, Bobby and I are the student family that has been here the longest. But not really, because we're not students anymore, so it's a funny feeling.
This significant threshold, this momentous occasion, this strange rite of passage does not entirely apply to us. I'm a little sad about that, actually. I don't yet understand why.
