Boys out back playing in the new snow.

Pizza dough rising for dinner.

Dishwasher running.

I am happy.

Satisfied.

This is the kind of contentment I think I will miss when my kids are all grown up: knowing at this moment that they're all busy and happy and learning. Watching them do it. Knowing that I am actively doing things to care for those I love (dishes, dinner).
