Well, This week has been very hot. It was over one hudred yesterday, and then if you add on the humidity we were well into the 110 range almost every day this past week. The 4th of July was very hot too. We skipped most of the usual activities, like the parade and the fireworks. We went to a BBQ at the church, and then hung out at home. It was fun, but not the most festive of celebrations.
On Saturday we cleaned all of our bedrooms and then went to the library. After the library we drove by Dairy Queen for some ice cream cones. We have been trying to do a chore as a family each Saturday, and then go out and do something fun together once the chore is complete, so far it has worked out OK. The library/ice cream was our reward this week.

I beg to differ. For the 4th of July, we had a parade of our own. That's pretty festive, especially since we threw candy. We made Sorghum Pie, too.
